Right then, time for babysitting Saturday number two. As soon as we got there, it was time for a walk into Hale village. This was the result. It's amazing what effect a bit of movement and fresh air does to them. Ellie's on the left and Evie's on the right.
While Ellie was still sleeping, Evie engaged in a bit of knock the jingly die off the playpen.
When Ellie was rescued from the pram, she clearly fancied a bit of lunch, if her penchant for her pink sock was anything to go by. Look at her big curly locks.
Here are the two of them together - Ellie with sock as before. They certainly both know where the camera is.
They are very keen to stand up, with the aid of the playpen. Look how tall they are!
Lunchtime! Evie gets her order in first, clearly feeling a lot better than the previous weekend. Hang on a minute. Evie - where's your other sock?
Ellie obediently keeps her bib on, whilst eating her hand and banging her spoon and cup.
In the playroom, Evie shows off her crawling speed as Ellie looks to see if there aren't more toys available.
A heavily pregnant Lynne comes to check that the three of us aren't misbehaving. No, miss!
The reverse opening toy box lid proved to be a little tricky to get around.
But with a bit of help they were in. Both seem to be after the keyboard, but who do you think ends up with it? (Yes, that's right - Ellie, as usual.)
Back in the playpen, Ellie has a bit of a sulk that Evie is roaming around the living room and she isn't. But the appearance of the camera makes her roll over and pose.
Evie looks like she has been at the drinks cabinet.
But it was just the timing of the camera. She was reasonably well behaved here - sitting there fairly placidly, happy to play with a water bottle and moving away from the TV when told to do so. She demonstrates her touch your foot, lick your cheek skills.
We were forced to endure Waybuloo, one of the girls' favourites.
And finally, tea time, which Suze's Dad and Lynne (initially) oversee. They were being encouraged to feed themselves a little here, but Ellie insisted on sticking her hand in. Something to work on.
That's it for now.
Ok, I've got some twin-related catching up to do. In between Christmas and New Year 2010, we popped over to Suze and Rick's to see the twins. Here, I am holding a teething Evie.
Ellie, meanwhile, is a big earmuff wearing bag of snot. But she's happy nevertheless.
Evie gets into her action position.
Evie celebrated her alphabet cubes by ripping her sleeping bag off.
Moving on to February 2011, Evie swings round to check out the photographer. I wasn't playing with the TV remote, honest.
They are now adept at propping themselves up on things, as Evie demonstrates here.
Ellie is fascinated by the TV remote, as she, no doubt, reprograms Rick's Sky schedule. Out goes Coronation Street and in comes Waybuloo!
Daddy Rick plays with his Ellie as I keep Evie trapped between my feet while she watches TV.
Looks like another page is needed.
