A random Friday night out with Paul Brunger.  Clearly he relished such an occasion.

He was very much down with the kids...

...as is demonstrated by his ability to spell out the word "blood" with his very fingers.

It was approaching Christmas 2007 (currently November) and therefore it's time to erect a huge Santa Claus in front of the town hall.

Poker Night 25 was evidently prefaced by a trip to the pub (probably Pitcher & Piano, by the looks of things) with Dave Henry, who was setting himself up for a night on the tiles with a cup of tea (he was not attending the Poker Night).

Craig gives him a hug goodbye.

And the Poker Night itself, at Jonathan Noble's, with Craig thinking furiously.  Shall I bet, or take a sip of my Carling, or talk about Family Guy?  Decisions, decisions.

Perhaps I need my thinking sombrero before making my choice.

JNo's thinking looked a little more deep, but equally sombrero'd.

It's evidently crazy headwear night, as Euan opts for my green visor (which I often bring along but seldom actually wear).

Weymouth wideboy Ross Mckinstry cannot abide by traditional hats and instead prefers the anti-establishment nature of the sideways cap...

...which I later commandeered to put on backwards.  As you do.

That's better - just go for the simple shades, which has the added advantage of not making too much of a mess of one's hair (oops, too late).  I rarely wore shades at poker nights, not least because it was much harder to see the cards in the dingy light.

More soon.
