Friday evening in

14th September 2007

The day before Sarah and Gareth's wedding, Paul R, who had flown in from Singapore in the morning, and Louise, who drove down from Edinburgh after work, singing and speeding as she went, stayed at Paul & Lynne's City South Hotel (room 126b).

Well, this was just a bit of fun, and it won't last long.  But what better way to spend a Friday evening than pedalling on an exercise bike whilst supping a can of Carlsberg.

I made some fajitas (or Lynne did, I can't remember).  Here is one of them.

It was effortlessly modelled by Mr Rowllings.  A career beckons.  (But not in food modelling.)  He's actually wearing one of my T-shirts, since his luggage had not made it from Singapore with the same haste that Paul had.  Luckily, it arrived the next day.

Louise provided moral support as she clung to the fascinator, which was later to make a guest appearance at Sarah and Gareth's wedding.

Louise then had a go on the bike, making sure she could still play Tekken 5 whilst doing so.

She then retired to the settee, making sure that she could still play Tekken 5 whilst doing so.  She had been practising hard, but it turned out that her technique was simply bashing all the buttons as rapidly as possible.  That tends not to work against opponents who know what they're doing (cough).  Her advanced certificate was rescinded.

Rowllings then switched to double sport activity, cycling whilst playing golf (in the form of Everybody's Golf).

And that was it.   I didn't promise much and you didn't get much.  So we're even, ok?
