Aberfeldy (part two)
April 2010
Time for some more tyre-on-a-rope-swing action, as Matt is ready to be launched by Calum. Eddie tries out his new camouflage, to no avail.
But can Matt smile for the camera? Yes he can.
Right, next up: Eddie, who is looking just a wee bit precarious.
Ok, that's just showing off.
And finally, Imogen. First, the painstaking set-up.
And then the smile for the photographer. Well, a mock brave grimace anyway.
Jordan's response to being asked if he wanted to use the rope swing was to go for a nervous pee. We know what you're doing!
Tommy, finally free of his protective hood, could just about do justice to the rope swing...
...but still manages to pose for the camera, as Jordan trudges off, demoralised, but stick in hand.
On the way back, before the weather closed in, we caught glimpse of a crocodile carved on a stone. Impressive, but some people just have too much time on their hands.
For the next and final instalment, I will bring you a bit of scenery and what we had for lunch the next day.
Later that evening, after a fulsome meal, we retired to various parts of the cottage, including Jordan, Matt and Auntie Judy in the living room, or rather: my temporary bedroom. Get out, I want to sleep!
The next morning, at Spirit of Wood...
...I took some scenic shots.
It's all a far cry from the sprawling metropolis of Manchester and Stockport.
Next, on the whistle stop tour, was lunch at the Logierait Inn.
Not quite sure they knew what had hit them - an elderly lady took about five seconds to decide that they would be better seated in a quieter room.
With everyone in the same place together, a flurry of photos followed. Here, Debbie tries to get the perfect shot. Look at the concentration!
And finally, here are the young rapscallions in all their glory. A microcosm of pure evil...
And that, good people, is the end. Hope you enjoyed it. Click here to return to the Secret Portal.
