Spaceman's music collection grows steadily larger each week, as can be seen from the list of spaceman's favourite bands and solo artists below, although many of the individual pages are not completed (in fact, only the Radiohead and Spiritualized pages have anything useful on them).

Spaceman recommends the NME as a source of music information.  Not so long ago, there were two music weeklies, the NME and the Melody Maker.  However, times are hard for printed publications in this new internet world (and the fad for metal hasn't helped).  As a result, sales of both magazines were falling steadily, and the Melody Maker subsequently folded and became a few pages in the back of the NME.  The NME is suffering as well, with the cover price rising and the magazine having to reinvent itself as a small glossy.  It still represents an authoritative voice on the world of music, though, highlighted by their comprehensive website, NME.com, and the fact that the NME music awards (aka the Brats) are far more relevant and far less influenced by the clueless fat cats and bigwigs of the music industry than the Brits (Justin Timberlake winning best international album anyone?).

Please feel free to email spaceman with your own reviews or comments.
